Buddy - Great to read your insights and reporting about GC. I pray for you and Joan on a regular basis. I missed being at GC. Thanks for your ministry. Sharron and I are living in NC and love being back home and living near family. God bless.

Thanks for the news! James Watkins has posted a draft of the memorial on immigration. I don't know if it was adopted in that form.

By the way, you can always tell a chosen minister from a called minister. A chosen minister never has to manipulate people or circumstances or play politically religious games to be effective in his/her ministry! Those who have not been called do!

I'm humored by the writer's statement that because JoAnne Lyon is now the Queen/Pope of the Wesleyan church more women will be called to ministry.

That statement shows a total lack of understanding of calling. Calling comes regardless of outward circumstances.

It is becoming more and more evident these days that few ministers have been called. Rather, most have chosen their vocations and that is exactly why the church of Jesus Christ is, and will remain, spiritually impotent!
